Hi, I just downloaded EQ again yesterday. Everything went great, but when I select a server then click play, the loading screen (with awesome eq music) will load quickly then will crash EQ. It does not give me any type of error message, it just simply closes the program. I tried 3-4 times, switching servers, etc... but the same thing happened every time. Any ideas on how to fix this? Yes, agree with getting the dx9c - although there are contradictory posts on the boards that say they didn't need it others say it worked for them. The issue is that you get dx9 included in your dx download but its not the 9c version that EQ needs because its so old. Griff said it best here: https://forums.daybreakgames.com/eq...laying-but-doesnt-launch.251854/#post-3707731 But like I said many players say they didn't need it and I also did not need it but everyone's computers are different and there are over 100 posts of players who downloaded it and the game then worked correctly.
