Been requested for YEARS. They somehow never implement it. Nobody knows why, seems fairly stupid that they don't support it. Short answer: no Tat
Reason they don't implement it afaik is due to fraud related to cc chargebacks. People use a cc to buy the expansion, sell the code in game for krono/items/plat or at 3rd party sites and then do a chargeback on the cc. This ends up with bans to people who bought it from these people while the person who "gifted" it (ie, sold it) to others makes off like a bandit.
Yeah, all fine and dandy, but there's ways around it, they're just too lazy to do it. Simple way: Sell expacs for 2 Krono. People already buy Krono and trade 'em in game. Give your buddy two Krono, he gets an expac. If you REALLY want to be paranoid... only let people buy expacs with Kronos which have been around for two months. By that time, the Krono purchaser will have gotten the CC bill and paid it, or at least not contested the charge. And remember, the actual final use of a Krono is to use it for a month's sub. So they are already used to obtain something valued by cash-money. And they are tradable. So, this would be no different. Tat
