For the past few expansions they have given us new food that can be foraged in new zones that have no tradeskill use. Personally, I would rather they just have us forage roots and other tradeskill useful food instead. Ideally we could forage useful trade skill items like Ethernere Essence in COTF, but if they deem that unbalancing, how about just restricting it to items used on baking/brewing? I find the time spent on creating new forage food types rather useless. If I just want to avoid starvation, roots are sufficient plus have a tradeskill use, but otherwise I am going to stick with high stat foods like merchant's feast or better.
