It's taking me 5-10 attempts to get into a server on live. I keep getting Error 1017: Cannot login to the EverQuest server. Your client likely needs updating. When you click OK the client will close and LaunchPad will start. I uninstalled the game already once and reinstalled the game and having the same issues. Please help if you've run into the same issues.
Use the search bar in upper right and type in 1017 - look thru the other posts about this error. There have been a lot, one of them might help your situation
I might be curious about the Firewall settings with that kind of issue as well. Might want to see if you can disable it temporarily to help narrow possible issues. Or if you have a VPN on that same machine, etc. But yeah - search here for that error as well, might find something.
