I was getting socketerror (11002). Now that you have updated it , it starts to update but can't complete the file, 35k of 1125k, then freezes. then says, :Unable to write to Exception: Cannot open file - C:/Users/Public/Daybreak Game Company/Installed Games/EverQuest/eqgame.exe (13) - http://eq.patch.daybreakgames.com/patch/sha/eq/eq.sha.zs/a2/7a4/a9dee2e17415d04434f60650a26997b6447. The file may be in use or you may lack the necessary permissions to install.
Still not able to login, yesterday I was able to by pass Lunchpad and it worked nothing to day. And yes I tryed all the techy ideas above.
It sounds like something is locking your access to eqgame.exe. Try renaming eqgame.exe to something else and try updating again.

This shouldn't be happening anymore. The issue was causing this message to appear was resolved this morning.
