I have recently preordered the new expansion, and If I remember correctly that should include a month of paid membership. Is this correct? Can I expect this to go into effect when the expansion goes live?
You only ever got a month free of gold if the account was new, not for an expansion as far as I know.
The free month was because you had to buy the game and monthly fees, now base play is free, so folk can test things out to see if they want to buy current expansion and go gold.
players used to get a 30 day game card with the purchase of some expansions. this has been discontinued when soe changed to digital downloads.
Yea remember when you got a month free from opening a new account. This was when you went to the store and bought the game back on cds. Wow how times have changed. Andarriel
They allowed it on digital as well if it was a new account, there was never a game card, just time applied for new accounts. This was before F2P.
