It says I am a master at this ability...yet each time I see a mob with a weapon I spam it and I think I have only disarmed a guy once. Back in the day paladins were capped at like 40 disarm...I noticed they changed that significantly. Will I get better at it in later levels? Or is disarm just meant to be a very rare crapshoot for every class? Does it even serve a purpose?
Disarm only works if they mob both has a weapon (often they don't), and that weapon isn't magic (and higher level weapons are all magic). Of course, some mobs that can be disarmed actually hit harder when they are. So the main value of disarm is whatever impact it may (or may not) have on aggro, as a secondary taunt.
