Cazic Thule problems

I hate to be that guy... but...

Why did you leave motm1 on the open world gnome escort mob and the final boss that spawns at the end? Why would you specifically put in the patch that you're only changing the instance. Did you forget there were 2 npc in CT open world with motm1?

As of now, the gnome that you follow around and "protect" has 30-40k hitpoints and the final boss hits for 750, but is slowable, root able, snareable and doesn't summon.

Also, I'm not sure if it's intentional but 2 bosses spawn at the end, instead of just 1. I'm guessing it's because of how fast the gnome respawns and they seem to link together when one of them is in the middle of the quest, so you end up with 2 bosses that hit for 750 and both drop the quest piece.

This, unfortunately, actually kills people who port in because the 2nd one spawns on top of the spire (where the gnome stands). Clearly, this can't be intentional. Because, the port in spot is actually 100% safe from mobs, normally.

In addition, having motm of any type on the quest mob just makes this whole event trivial. People are just letting the gnome tank most of the mobs because he has so much hp. I've never seen an escort quest mob be able to take 20k damage like it's nothing. Usually they die if they trip over a rock.

1 more super unfair bug is the fact that you can heal the gnome while he's fighting 5 mobs and the mobs won't even go after the healer. So what you have is a 30-40k hp gnome who hits for 270, that you can give haste to, and heal without getting aggro.

Even the instance version still has motm4 and tanks pretty well. I'm fairly certain that he shouldn't be able to tank 5 level 55 mobs for 30+ seconds without a heal. It's not exactly very difficult to "protect" him right now.

I agree server have been up for too long, and instances haven't been buggy enough. Instead of doing the sensible thing and sending a pm let's put this on the forums forcing their hand to do a quick fix. Those have been working so well lately.

So, I'll just keep it hush hush so the people in the know can keep at it doing a trivial escort quest while everyone else gets kept in the dark? Sounds super lame to me.

I figured they would fix it with this patch. But, was worried when the patch specifically only mentioned the instance.

At least now other people have the same shot at it as the people currently getting an easy quest. Sounds like you prefer the select few to just keep at it, collecting easy loots with minimal effort. If some already know and are using it to their advantage, it's only fair that others know also.

Bug report and pm a dev would be a start, or posting in the correct area like the live bug updates. Just saying, posting exploits here has been going poorly for everyone lately.

It's a tlp problem. So, I posted in the tlp section. Seemed like a fine place for it.

this quest too easy for you so you want to make it harder? people complain about anything..

Bugs aren't only glitches that stop people from doing something. They're unintended issues.

The situation originally didn't have this type of 'help' for the quest, so this change trivializes something that probably was unintended. They've already admitted they didn't properly check the zone usage of MoTM because they're changing certain fights, so it's not a stretch that they just fixed what was reported already and didn't test everything in the zone to make sure they didn't miss anything.

How many months did it take them to fix the NToV mage-pet tanking? That didn't stop anyone from completing content, but was most certainly a bug.

I believe it was fixed sometime around the last patch before Luclin unlocked. I mean, not fully fixed... but enough to not completely trivialize the encounters.
