The quest for the Staff of the Observers has seemingly been broken for a number of years now on live servers. Currently, the Evil Eye Lens (ITEMID: 10170) does not appear to drop anymore off of the "an evil eye prisoner" which came into existance in 2001 after Runnyeye was revamped and the original dropped of the Lens "Borxx" was removed from the game. Per a post from Absor in May of 2001 who I guess was relaying answers from someone named Kendrick who was responsible for redesigning the zone?: So in theory this quest is supposed to still be active unless it was later also removed for a second time. From personal experience killing hundreds of the "an evil eye prisoners" along with others comments related to this quest it does not appear that the Evil Eye Lens drops anymore. Any chance this item could be put back onto these two NPCs so that both it, and the Troll Smithed varieties of the reward could be attained again?
