At least on Povar I saw this with several items. Did search for "Faded Velium" does not return the item Faded Velium Harmony in the results list. BUT... If you search for "Faded Velium Harm" it returns the item in question. This happens with several other items also.
Try setting the maxium results per trader to 200. That sometimes resolves the issue for me when search doesn't seem to find anything.
