Fixed Internally Bag Slots not appearing with some custom UIs

    I re-enabled the "All Bags" BigBank window version in my Krome UI, even though this bug of missing icons is still an ongoing issue. Not sure why they cannot just fix it and move on to be done with it now that we have larger bags. Personally I do not have all of my bags open while having the Bank window open too, but it only is an issue if you have more than 8 our of 12 bags open while the window is open, more of less. Really super annoying regardless.

    This still happens on live. Any ETA when the "fixed internally" is rolled out to live ?

    There are lots of bugs that have the "fixed Internally" flag which have never been pushed to live. I am betting that whatever fix they have isn't stable enough to go live, so they are trying to find a stable long term solution.

    Any word on this? We just got this bug on a computer that has the merchants perk. It only happens in the last inventory bag slot and the bag itself is missing like 12 slots.

    For me the last 6-12 bags opened or interacted with will go blank.
    Alternately, I am kind of wondering if the fixed internally flag might have been there because they expect the issue to be fixed with the new UI, though I don't really know anyone who uses it and can easily test it. Especially, since there is no easy way to convert existing sets that include custom files.

    Or they aren't testing with the amount of slots you can see with custom UIs. I'm certainly not getting rid of my "slots visible" bank window to work around it. But as more and more larger bags are accumulated it will just get easier and easier to trigger the issue.

    It affects the perk slot bags for me. Which is kind of funny.

    It has nothing to do with Custom bags or bankslots. You can reproduce the exact same issues with the default UI, you just have to have more things opened.

    I mean it's easier to hit those numbers, because it seems to consider custom UI elements showing items as open 100% of the time. It just makes them invisible when they aren't "open." The evidence of that also being the power source meter bug they fixed, where they would bleed through at all times even with windows "closed."

    So this happens when the bank isn't even open. Or in a zone without a bank at all. Are you suggesting the "open bank slot" custom UI pieces are still considered open so its easier to hit the cap with that particular ui piece?

    Its been fixed internally for a year now and not pushed so I kinda doubt its a fix with the new UI engine. And if it is, since that engine seems to have come to a crawl, they should look in to fixing it now. As is we will have to get rid of the bag perk since its pointless to have if you can't use the bags.

    Just as a quick test I opened the "all bags open" bank and took empty bags out of the main slots and placed them into other bags. It did not change the carried bags missing bag spaces.

    I load default and opened every bank bag, shared bank bag, then all the inventory bags and had no missing slots.

    Yeah I'm pretty sure it's each UI element slot, so always open bank slot and the bag actually opening count for double. Whether or not anything is in the slots. I suspect UI elements that always show equipment slots or even bags slots count for the total too, but I don't have evidence for that.

    You get the exact same issues in the exact same ways when you have the same number of items displayed with the Default UI. It isn't in anyway unique to Custom UI or components. It isn't something being double counted. Now if you have some bank window that shows the contents of all the bags in it and have those bags open as well, then sure that will count them twice. But it doesn't count the bank slots unless you have the bank open. Have never had one of those windows but have suffered from this issue since Beimeith first ran into it. The issue persists regardless of having a custom bank window or a normal one. The issue has progressed as Hotkeys have increased and the like.

    It doesn't count the bag slots, technically speaking it counts the slots as displayed in the all slots shown bank window. They are bound to the same data, but are separate UI elements. Bags themselves may only consume slots upon being opened, but other UI elements consume the slots at all times if they exist at all. Pikollo described this above with a specific test. Basically, some windows always exist no matter what. The bank seems to be an example of that. Opening bag windows seems to only consume them when the bags are actually opened.

    Either way, it's a matter of something happening limiting the amount of UI elements bound to items being shown, or something along those lines. Increasing that limit will likely solve the issue. And I do think it's a problem if they are selling perks for additional bags. I keep items I always want to carry but seldom need direct access to in the perk bag slots to mitigate it. And I always keep at least one top level inventory slot open. But that is a workaround, and not a solution. Hopefully they are aware of this issue.

    They've been aware of it for over a decade. They did increase the limit considerably, last year or the one before. It did not solve the issue. The problem is more complex than just a limit.

    Character 1: FV - 24 bank slots (650), 6 shared bank(188), 10 inventory (370). 1,208 slots

    Characer 2: Mischief - 24 bank slots (490), 2 shared bank (56), 12 inventory (396). 942 slots

    Same UI on both characters. Character 2 has the bug while character 1 does not. Character 2 also (obviously) has the extra bags perk. But over 200 slots less then what character 1 has.

    This makes me believe its a bug in the second perk slot.

    Guessing we will have to stop paying for the perk. Seems odd this bug has been known for a year and has not been fixed. My assumption is they can't fix it but continue to sell the perk anyways.

    So I still don't understand why a char with less slots, but the perk, would get this bug over a char with 250 more slots.

    To add to the problem. Opening tradeskill containers in the guildhall/PoK gives no slots to add items to combine.

    I still don't understand why the char/PC with less bag slots has the bug over the char/PC that has more bag slots. Unless it has something to do with actual bag slots in the inventory and not how many slots the bags have.

    I'm not very good at editing custom ui's but..

    I think I managed to edit our custom bigbank ui file and erased bag slots 41+. Being on Mischief we don't really have anything over 40 slots anyways. As of right now the bug is gone and gf is happy. I assume in the future it will resurface as we get bigger bags.
