This bug's been in since beta so my /feedback got ignored I guess, but regardless I had the same problem. Easiest way to get past it for now is /say scare and kill it. (Sorry for necro'ing, but the bug still exists)

The problem I was having was that the text links got 0 response from the npc, even when I typed out the words it got nothing, this still happens.
Hey Xirtket, I have had this problem as well. I just typically ignore the mobs that takes dissuade as a proper answer, and focus on the other guys. The real strange thing is - it use to work. I have seen it work before, but something happened in the last couple months where the triggered response has choked out.
