Are augs worth it?

Ok so after all this, I should have said augs have not kept up with armor and need a boost. HoT had augs as high as 170 mana and 38 ac when Lucid armor was around 1400 mana. Now five years later you get 40ac group gear level augs and 280 mana augs when armor is approaching 4k. So augs have not scaled and fallen behind in value.

Really except for certain classes augs are not that important but at the same time they're useful and you should have a aug in every available aug slot you have.

Just pick up random augs as they come and you will be fine. Hit anniversary events for the most current years and take any aug you get from them. Put you best AC aug in your shield.

Unless you're a tank most guilds will never bother checking your augs and most wont even check the tanks. People that would fail out of a guild because of bad augs would fail out anyway because the underlying attitude that led them to ignore augs in the first place.

I remember anguish with 300hp gear and 150hp augs.

Aug scaling is pretty terrible but it's a situation of what else are you going to put there? It's free stats, use em.

True, but there are also augs that give 700+ hp or mana (not just the 280); can't forget to add in the benefit of heroics.

8 hWis or hInt is another 170ish mana. added to highest raw mana gets to 500 for 3ish augs in game.
