Wow this is upsetting when it happens! Was rotating thru my characters getting the freebies today and blam!! Kaleidoscope city in the lobby. But thank god, all I had to do was camp out to desk top and when I logged in again it was gone. At least it can be worked around unlike that terrible grey loading that made the game unplayable. Thank you again for fixing that.
I am kinda curious on what GPU people having these issues are using. I am running EQ on both an old RX550 and on an ancient laptop with an Intel hd3000 unsupported GPU that is emulating DX11, yet the game doesn't crash, freeze or has any of the weird visual glitches people keep posting here.
i9 3ghz, 32g ram, nvidia RTX 4080 16g - direct x12 None of this started until direct x11 was pushed live for me, similar for the memory leak.
Given that I've only seen this happen in PoK/Lobby, I suspect is some kind of memory/data corruption that happens when there's tons of different ornaments/textures/whatever.
Can we get a fix for the fix with the fix that was fixed.. suposedly fixed? Devs, I'm just tryin to be funny!
