Version 5.1.0 now out. Search your Achievements. Also improved other things, fixed a few bugs. Speed switching between characters is still not optimal, hoping to improve that in the next few versions. Download version 5.1.0 here: https://everquest.fanra.info/wiki/EverQuest_Inventory_Report
New version 5.2.0. It now checks on program startup if there is a new version available. So, I'm planning to no longer post here every time there is a new version. That said, I plan on slowing down the release schedule, since I've accomplished most of what I want. Also, super fast now. The only thing still (somewhat) slow is showing and searching Achievements. There seems to be no real way to speed that up (TreeView is slow) unless I rewrite the entire program from scratch using a slight different version of Visual Basic (WinForms vs. WPF). Worn items screen is much nicer and cleaner to view. One thing is instead of buttons to see the item on Lucy or Magelo, you just click the item name and it opens them up. All in all, well worth getting this version. Download version 5.2.0 here: https://everquest.fanra.info/wiki/EverQuest_Inventory_Report
Thanks. Looks like I'm going to have to consolidate character inventories but all but seven of my characters are under level 30 so I don't really need to add more than 14 if I clean things up.
It's really designed for just one server and one account. That's because of several reasons but mainly the Shared Bank items only work across characters on the same server and account. That's built into EQ. I am thinking about how to possibly add more than one account but I would have to split things up to deal with the Shared Bank and a bunch of other things. Currently the only option is to Export and Import settings to switch between accounts, you can actually have two instances of EQIR running at once, I believe. Still not designed for two separate accounts, though.
The vast majority of my characters are actually on one account. I just got carried away with low level alts. Your tool did confirm something I suspected but never put effort into checking: my old rebreather is long gone, probably accidentally sold to a vendor or something.
It's been six months since I posted here. The reason I haven't posted is that the program itself will now tell you if there is a new version ready to download. That said, I'd appreciate some input about whether I should release updates more often. Is it annoying to get notices that there is a new version, or do you just ignore it if you don't feel like updating? One of the things about using a computer (program) is that every time you want to do something that you don't normally do, you first have to update it. I just want to do 'x' but, nope, there's a new update I have to deal with first. Thanks.
Fanra, thanks a lot for contributing so much to the game. I was still using 3.1.2 until I saw this. The program really helped me over the years
I keep getting a failure to download the install. The remote server returned an error: (406) Not Acceptable.
Up at the top of https://everquest.fanra.info/wiki/EverQuest_Inventory_Report I posted: I have a ticket in with my web hosting company about this. I have no idea why this error is happening. However, I've just put a link to the latest version at the top of the page. It does not install itself, nor update itself like it should but I hope it at least works. Please let me know.
