Hey all I am thinking about returning to the game and have a couple of questions. 1. If i buy the new exp pack does it come with 30 day play time. 2. I have played a warrior as my main since i started playing in 2000 how are warriors now in exp group i haven't played in a couple of years. 3. What server would be the best server for something starting out fresh? I'm on Bertox right now and i have access to lvl 95 shaman cleric bard to help power lvl and buff. Welcome back! 1 - I don't see anything about that on the Store page, so hopefully someone who bought it can tell you. 2 - I'll defer to a Warrior higher than level 17 like me lol 3 - Well, if you want to relearn things, I highly suggest doing a Live server and running through the Mines tutorial. Thanks i thought about doing TLP i was on rage fire when it opened and have a 58 warrior there. I just don't know if i have the time to jump on a TLP and get caught up to everyone and get in to raiding. I was thinking live servers with some Power lvling might work better.
Nothing wrong with staying on Bertoxx. You don't need the latest expansion. You should have 21 of 23 free and you can go a long ways with Free to Play. Try it out, see if you can get the hang of things again (and more importantly, enjoy it), and then make a decision about subscribing.
1. Exp pack and All-Access are separate, Empires of Kunark grants you both EoK and 22nd expansion The Broken Mirror. Not strictly necessary but EoK is amazing for group gear at 105. So get All-Access first (turn on Auto-grant so you get all AAs up to Level 100 Rain of Fear). Level to 105 then get EoK. 2. Warriors are still great in groups especially in group gear at 105 . Even at lower levels warriors are best at tanking. There are reports of people using Heroic geared warriors to tank at 85 in 100 groups(obviously using the right disciplines and some gear upgrades), which is just not possible with SKs and Pallies. So stick with the warrior if you want to be tanking. Raid Geared Pallies and SKs might be better than raid geared Warriors for xp grouping and might have more utility but warriors have always been about tanking not utility. 3. Bertox is a reasonably busy server so you should be fine especially since you have a 95 Shaman to help the War level. Another option would be a transfer to FV which has an XP bonus, has tradable raid gear and a high population. TLP servers, I would say wait since there are reports of another TLP server in mid 2017.
