When i try to run EQ after latest patch ii tries to install the updates but freezes then comes up with this error message Unable to download SocketError:cc::HTTP::Receive got unexpected close during block read - http://eq.patch.station.sony.com/patch/sha/eq/eq.sha.zs/b3/00c/086e59d1786255f81c9defe76e
At least you got some kind of message...mine just closes the launcher and doesn't tell me anything....

Does this mean that people with windows xp who have played eq from the start cannot now play eq...that sucks cause windows xp is sufficient for everything else i need to do..welcome to the rip off revolution where you need to upgrade everything every year or else it doesn't work. ( where is that monopoly board game..dust it off)
If you are running XP it might be the firewall. On my XP machine, on which EQ works perfectly btw, the only problem I have is whenever the launcher gets updated I have to reauthorize it in my firewall software.
reset my computer and network hub and it updated no bother so everything's ok now...sorry about rant earlier on
