incoming 45 guild rotation. grats on getting to kill a dragon once an expansion.
  2. Progress Augur

Can we stop calling other guilds that don't zerg, haven't been in EQ since 1999, and/or are just new to EQ in general the term "crap guilds". Some day those player may be in your guild to fill your ranks. So unless you need a real ego boost by putting down others, let refrain from the term. Thanks
  3. Sabbon Journeyman

Of course you do. You are the absolute best monk on this server. =) See you in game buddy
  4. Sabbon Journeyman

Mobs in classic hit for 2500 bruh.

So 2 out of the 4 guilds on the rotation didn't agree with it, yet this is what is official. Apok must've been the guild filling up the DBG Dev's inboxes with the most tears.

And why are there guilds in the rotation that can't kill the mobs on rotation?
  6. Sulerill Elder

I'm glad to hear that guilds are already socking. Great job on this rotation.

Roshen, why are you pledging to uphold this proposal when only two guilds support it and one of those is not a raiding guild? TL and Rosenguard also submitted proposals and neither support this one. What was the rationale behind deciding to back this proposal as opposed to one of the others?

There are some obvious questions that the rules of this rotation does not answer. If a mob spawns and the appropriate guild decides they cannot kill it and leaves the zone, is it immediately FFA or does a guild waiting in the wings have to sit through the full three hours? How many engagements are permitted before it is declared official that a particular force cannot kill the mob? If a guild engages but fails to kill a mob on two or more successive turns, do they lose their spot in the rotation? If a guild engages a mob and wipes, are they required to allow the mob to regen to 100% health before reengaging? Are these same rules going to be applied to Kunark and will there be a FFA period when it opens? These are questions that need to be answered before a rotation goes into effect, not on the fly when the situation arises.

Despite what the people watching from the sidelines believe, Skyp's proposal was not unreasonable. TL has proven beyond any doubt that we are the most skilled and dedicated players. It is completely fair that we should receive the lion's share of the raid kills and the loot that goes with them. Rather than make the other guilds compete with us for every kill, Skyp offered to rotate half of the spawns. If anyone wanted any of the other half, they were still free to try to mobilize faster than us. We would still have gotten the majority of those kills, but that's just the nature of the game; the better players win and are rewarded. It is not impossible to mobilize faster than we do (RG and Apokalypsis both have done it), but it is hard. If you want to beat us, you have to work for it. Unfortunately, it appears that is no longer going to be the case, since apparently Roshen and Holly have altered their opinions that the spoils should go to the best team.
Those of you who believe that TL "behaves badly" with regard to our raiding techniques, you are being misinformed by unobservant or angry people who have no qualms about misrepresenting their rivals. We have not upheld our dominance through cheating or unethical behavior. We don't pet wall raid targets or have a reserve raid of mage boxes that DPS for us (although we certainly have plenty of members that use box armies on their own time). We don't intentionally train or otherwise grief other raid forces. We do monopolize raid content, but that is through skillful play and dedication rather than through underhanded tactics. There were some complaints of mage pets having their haste dispelled, however that is simply using your class's abilities against your opponents in the same way that a wizard's nukes can out-dps other classes in order to win credit for a kill. It's also worth mentioning that the guild that complained about that behavior was the one who first engaged in it. We didn't gripe about it and it was not called to be used as an official part of our technique, one of our players simply saw a smart tactic and turned it against the opponents who used it on us.
Anyone who is well-versed in the customs of classic EQ can understand why we are dismayed at this poorly contructed rotation system, and the apparent lack of understanding being displayed by the Daybreak representatives in their haste to uphold it. There are obvious holes in the rules, the gatekeeper mobs are nonsensical, and one of the two architects has not even engaged the mobs that it governs but is somehow included in the schedule. This proposal seriously needs to be revised.

LONG LIVE CONTESTED MOBS...this isn't Everquest anymore!
  9. Progress Augur

Looks like its time for some people to shave that neck-beard and go outside, until they are up for rotation...use sunscreen if it has been awhile!

If 3/4 of the guilds are really so "crap", "bad", "terrible" that they shouldn't be on the rotation. Get a nice 3 hour break then kill your boss.

Oh that inconvenience's you? Why, just pretend like their is a +3 hour on the spawn timer. You know whats an inconvenience the entire FFA non expedition raiding bull to start with. You are convinced you are #1 and the only guild that will get kills. If that is so true...you will be the only guild who gets kills.

Its funny how people act like live servers never had rotations when even the Zek servers did. TL put forth a decent starting point for a rotation then refused to tweak it. I am guessing that had they agreed to the 3 hour window their plan would be the rotation now. Did they really think that the other guilds would let them dictate how things were going to be? Had they negotiated in good faith rather than acting (in some cases, not all) like entitled children they most likely would have gotten better terms. There is a lesson here about hubris, if you are wise enough to see it.

so, what a start this has been. of the 4 guilds on the rotation, half of them reportedly disapprove, with an accusation that one of the guilds that DID approve isnt capable/isnt doing the mobs in question. Which is a wonderful way to start an enforced rotation, let me tell you. I cant speak for the guilds in question because im a dirty casual, but its not productive to begin something in this way, especially something that has serverwide consequences. Maybe you guys should go back to the drawing board and actually get it together this time.

Can we stop calling other people whom we really don't know "neckbeard's"? Some day, the server may be so empty you need those types of players to progress. So unless you need a real ego boost by putting down others, lets refrain from the term, please. Also, because they're people too.

It is my understanding that Rosenguard's leaderhip did not approve of the previous iteration of this rotation and discussed with the other guilds for changes wich resulted in the version you see here. I may be wrong here but Bonlgon was in our teamspeak all day and i'd be very surprised if they were discussing anything but the rotation details.

Nothing says this iteration of the rotation can't be revisited and modified. All of those things can be sorted out and laid out for everyone to agree (or disagree) on.

The proposal posted by Skyp was not unreasonable to YOU. We disagreed with it, so did the other guilds. We could have used it as a starting point to do something but your leadership flipped us off and told us they was no room to negotiate.

It's very hard to sympathize with anyone refusing to communicate and try to come to a common agreement. Skyp laid out a proposal and said take it or leave it, or have DBG sort it out. We did just that and the result does not please you. I can't help but read all of the TL's complaint posts on this forum in Eric Cartman's voice.

Now TL has time to go shave their neck beards. The real world will be glad to have you back and finally getting jobs and getting off unemployment. Thanks for not sponging of our taxes anymore TL!

You guys finished yet? can we actually have a conversation yet without your attempts to deride those you disagree with?

Here's a question that's not addressed in this agreement in its current state. For new guilds (or existing guilds that flew under the radar) that wish to join the rotation, what's the process? Who do they contact? What if the person they contact chooses to ignore them or arbitrarily decides that they aren't eligible?

marek how dose a guild get added to the rotation who do they talk to?
