My bad I obviously read it wrong
And water still makes more sense as a healing power then atomic

Kryptonite is a radioative element formed through a process of nuclear fusion attendant to the explosion which destroyed the planet Krypton. Long-term exposure to Kryptonite has the same effects as exposure to other radioactive materials including cancer.
Metallo is a radioactive cyborg intelligence who depends on Green Kryptonite as his energy source. He is often shown firing radiation from his chest or eyes.

Radioactive for damage and therapeutic for healing .

Dude...all good there is no hate here.....ever..... unless you wanna scrimmage lol

Anyway, water and healing does make some sense. However Atomic fits much better in the DCUO world taking into account nature, electricity, sorcery, And the pattern is controller powerset, healer and then tank

It just makes more sense, at least to me.

    Agreeing to disagree /bow

I'd really like to see a radiation based power. Probably best used for healing, though it'd like to see a density control tank too.
I'm thunkin' atomic could go two ways, with one tree being heavily DoT oriented and the other being instant damage out.

yes owl kryptonite is radioactive, but in no way does he use it like fire storm or the others. its used for pure power so no its not atomic at all. the kryptonite is really used to keep him alive and as shown in other comics like superman/batman he doesn't need it at all so no not atomic

    Aqualad (Kaldur'ahm) has water powers

Since you seem to know the most on this subject, what technically is quantum. Is it sub-atomic manipulation, quantum field manipulation or is it solely space and time manipulation. Also, is Firestorm atomic or quantum or both.
  9. Owl Devoted Player

The Time tree in game appears to primarily involve Time manipulation. Teleportation in the tree involves using another reality.
The Space tree in game appears to primarily involve Gravity manipulation.

Both Quantum trees do not appear to contain any matter manipulation which I think will be a tree in the Atomic power set. I think the other Atomic tree will deal with Nuclear Radiation. Just my guess though. There are several Radioactive NPCs in game.

The thing is the most prominent matter manipulator is Firestorm who's powers are fatal to organic beings. The most prominent atomic based characters have all been big bruisers. The Atom is a perfect example of a tank. Look at him , smasher and damage.

I really loooove this "Atomic" idea it would be really cool for a healer power, and it can look like the OMAC powers.

Technically having control over time and space means infinite control of matter. The space tree relies more upon gravity but you are manipulating your enemies structure by increasing or decreasing their density as well. I can see why you feel Atomic could very well be a healer class and your in game evidence like the Omacs healing each other support that but I want to say it will be a tank set. I also hate that teleportation is in the time tree. You Shift matter instantaneous within a 3-d space for crying out loud *end science rant*

    My reasoning is as follows:

We will likely have the Matter Manipulation tree ( The Atom, Damage, Atom Smasher, Firestorm, Socialist Red Guardsman) and a Radiation Tree(Atomic Skull, Neutron, Metallo, Firestrom etc ). This small collection of Heroes and villains are to me the most stand out of the Nuclear powered characters. All of them fulfill tank like rolls in comic. Firestrom is the only one with some flavor in that he can create anything he wants so long as conservation of energy and mass/matter apply.

For this class to be a healing class would be a dis service to The Atom who would be the prime candidate for an inspired by for heroes along with Atomic Skull for Villains since they are sluggers.

I remember how you sated halls of power would be a prime time for it and I agree but I hope that they would change the rotation and bring tank next. People want the JSA to be front and Center. It would be a great way to bring in the Atoms and have something for the power to relate too. I also think that the devs have heard many people wanting this to be a tank set and from a design perspective of trying to line it up with certain DC characters it makes the most sense. Many People also want to see something more exotic for tanks as the elements are boring.

Personally, I just can't imagining Growing Big relating to being a healer lol.
