Update starts to run and then I get Unable to write to C:/Users/Public/Sony Online Entertainment/Installed Games/DC Universe Online/UNREAL3/BINARIES/WIN32/DCGAME.EXE - http://dcuo.patch.daybreakgames.com...zs/f8/45b/7380eaa67aa9a4bb7af97a1a5e0118626fd. The file may be in use or you may lack the necessary permissions to install. Can someone explain? I tried running as Admin, rebooted my PC and still gives me this message. What's the work around?
Do a deep scan for malware and make sure you have set up the necessary permissions in your security software. All instructions are on Daybreak Game's help page.
Thanks LL. I did the deep scan and temp. disabled security. All to no effect. Looks like the ,exe file got corrupted. Deleted and reinstalled the game which now allows me access. Very strange that the primary .exe file would get corrupted during an upgrade/patch. Oh well. Back up and running.
