This community isn't really mature enough to handle exclusive drops.

There are enough. If the greater portion of players complains about a broken loot system yet otherwise just deals with it, then they can deal with an exclusive one of a kind drop in possession of one player at a time system of artifact drop that is DESIGNED to be that way.

Might be a nice thing to add a tracker of sorts...a recorded story of different heroes and villains that the items pass between... This idea could go on and on...
