    Storm troopers can't hit a dwarf Wookie, let alone a cat. They are the second worst group of soldiers ever, second only to cobra officers.

    They're actually very well trained :p for all of episodes 4 and 5 they were trying to keep the protagonists alive for various reasons :p

    Well think about it. In 4 they needed the heroes to get off the death star so they could track the Falcon back to the rebel base. When the rebels returned, granted they weren't stormtroopers, the imperial pilots shot most of the rebel fighters down. In 5 they needed everyone alive so they could trick Luke into going to Cloud City. And in 6 when the stormtroopers were actually aiming to kill Leia got shot :p
