Sure, but from what I've seen at other companies, shareholders rarely actually understand anything about the business(es) they've invested in. That's why bending over to shareholders / investors inevitably leads to the company making bad decisions.

Just going to point to Cyberpunk 2077, for a fairly recent example, just from the games industry.

Its incredibly easy to begin to twart the spammers....

A few simple grep strings to filter out things would be a start. I mean they have them implimented already into the game, try to type GRAPE and see if it gets into chat.

DB can ban by grep string, just [Io0l]/i* would eliminate one immediately. as well as basic ip filtering etc, theres things that can be done, but wont.

what this is: another bump downward into the abyss of which there is no return... but while the game goes to literal crap in front of you, HERES A NEW BOOSTER BUNDLE!!!
