This is just a short guide mainly aimed at new players coming into CR from Lvl30, please check your gear and be careful when picking gear out of a choice reward, There is two types of gear you earn while playing DCUO you get DPS gear and Gear based on the power you have aka water has healing gear, rage has tank gear, quantum has controller gear. So if you choose to main a certain role please be mindful on the gear you are equipping, you will be surprised on the difference it makes and paying attention to this detail will work out better for you long term in terms of getting people together not getting kicked and people getting frustrated at you because your not fulfilling what you should be due to your gear weighing you down.
i've said this before in two other threads, but i believe a good solution to players not knowing their roles right off the bat would be an extended tutorial created by converting the side missions which reward marks in the level 30 mentor missions from levels 4-30 into a continuous side tutorial that not only has role specific tasks like supporting your mentor with your support role abilities as you get them when leveling, so that new players not only know their abilities and which support role they chose, but also get marks for gear at tier 1 to get them ahead. they both gain an advantage by having more marks from participating in such an optional system as well as from actually having the first hand experience and knowledge to use the gear and their abilities.
