Happy late Wednesday, all! Upload's a little late, been trying to rush and get all my seasonal furniture needs arranged before the Anniversary goes away. However, I did manage to get a tour thrown together last minute, and what better base than one utilizing the Coulan/Lava Anniversary spread. Welcome to Half Life's Outpost Omega: It's a bit long since there's a lot of my own lore behind it, so apologies for the length. Hope it wasn't too much of a slog. Let me know what you guys think!
This was a really fun watch. I love Limbo Town themed bases and this one looks exceptional. Iconic knocked it out of the park. Would love to take a closer look at this one, or get a more in-depth tour if it's possible! Thank you so much! That means a whole lot. Half Life's Omphalos Station/asteroid storyline is probably one of my favorites. Hoping to finish up the Mining Facility and Casino with the next few seasonals if I can get my butt in gear to decorate, especially now that I've stocked up on Coluan furniture again.
I really liked the House of Legends themed Lair. It was by far the best gift they've given us. <3 I filled the lair to almost max item count. 697 items! 700 is not enough!
Idk how you do this, I can't get over 250 items xD even in big bases. Or maybe I need to check again. Looks amazing though!
I really like the clipping aspect. I would have to let you into my base to see some of what I did. I filled. I clipped. I ran out of amount allowed. lol The best room is the Bleed room, imo. I wanted to do more in the entrance area, but I couldn't fit more. Also, I really REALLY wish we had a snap to feature. My OCD was killing me trying to align stuff.

It was really fun to see all the DC collectibles placed up and I also love the advertisement entrance (especially jealous of your SOE sign!!) Also, I've never seen the Marketplace Bombhsell posters before, at least all at once. Looks like I know what I'm buying with my loyalty points this month, haha! And yes, the cap is never enough, but you did wonderful with what you were working with. Nice work!
Thank you. Yeah, the Bombshell posters were smaller than I expected. LOL I don't even remember buying them, I feel they were a gift from years ago, but I may have. I was going to treat them like the other covers, but then just did the tiling around the big one we got of the cover. I spent a long time on this base. Like a week of working on it. I also ended up spending a little too much in game cash on it too. lol
Oh man, I definitely missed out on that gift if there was one. They look awesome. I did a similar poster plaster in my comicbook shop I'm working on, but I had no idea there were different variants from the purchasable ones. Very cool. And ya, decorating is a cash sink. I don't wanna think about the cost of my bases, not to mention the time spent on countless seasonals and raid farming. However, the outcomes are extremely satisfying, and I'd say your base was well worth the effort and price. Great video! The Kryptonian Wall Dividers and the HoL doors in the alcoves- I did the exact same thing with the HoL base I'm working on, hah! I was frustrated at first trying to section them off and utilize the open door, but I think the glass window effect way cooler. Same with your room too! I think the kitchen area's actually my favorite part- lots of detail and looks really lived in and cozy. Very nice work!
Surprisingly, the real problems were the items that came from SM. I only bought a couple, but dang expensive. That toilet... That toilet...
I think the reason I don't make a lot of actual restrooms, and just allude to them with doors and signs, is because of the the expensive toilet situation. However, the Pull-Chain Toilet is a good alternative that isn't a complete... well, pooper, like the Standard one. If there's not one on the broker I just throw Source Marks at Detective Greggs in Metal Gotham until he hands one over. As for SM furniture, ya, it gets brutal in the off-season. I tend to stockpile for a potential year(s) drought ever since the gap years after FOS.
!!!! I absolutely LOVE seeing everyone utilizing the Valentine's Day items. The more karaoke bars, nightclubs, and penthouse parties in DCUO, the better! Iconic brand karaoke club- such an awesome idea! The armories are a very nice touch, especially since the HoL design really comes through as a display case. Can't wait to see as it unfolds. Very nice! This is awesome!! I love the details: the photo op area, the swag-bag table; so great. Keep us posted on updates! My dancefloor theme is going to take awhile longer before its finished, sadly. I need the St. Patrick's Day event for some rainbows... lots and lots of rainbows.
