So with the concept of style materials still being relatively new in comparison to this game's overall existence, I had an idea for a new item to be sold in the in-game Marketplace. "Vanguard of the Risen" - a Phoenix skin. It follows a similar naming convention to things like the Cosmic ("Vanguard of the Heavens") and Water ("Vanguard of the Deep") skins that are already available for purchase in the Marketplace, and the latter portion of its name alludes to the mythical Phoenix of legend that would be reborn from its own ashes following its death. Now some might claim that this could possibly devalue the already existing Phoenix material, but I would have to disagree. After all, this is a skin, and not a material. In addition, there would be no Feat attached to purchasing it from the Marketplace and wearing it; it is a 100% pure cosmetic style. No Booster Bundle. No Time Capsule. No RNG of any kind. Just release the Phoenix skin for direct purchase in the Marketplace for about 400 DBC/MC/LP/whatever-other-name-reward-points-are-called-for-PC-and/or-console. The Marketplace desperately needs more cosmetic items in it, and I think this could be a great start and lead to more cool things in the future. Thoughts?
i think its a great idea. i wanted to use the phoenix mat as a skin for my main but it doesn't really work that well. it kind of burns me as im not using it on my main and could have used the material on a different character.
there is so much want, it allready creates a black hole in the marketplace, wandered through time and space, vacuum for money we players spared from quitting subs because of time capsules... its a wonder no dev came to realize yet how much want there is for such little work... i mean, we got materials in our hair, how hard can it be to release it as a skin? letmespendmymoneyforthis!!!
Thumbs up from me. It already happens with the Cosmic Skin and Vanguard of the Heavens, so why not. Include the Void material, too (but sold separately) and if there's a material in the next Time Capsule, that also.
look this is why I think they don't put that stuff in the marketplace. because you can obtain it on all characters and they don't make any money except for the initial purchase. think about that. they make more from us buying keys.
EDIT: Just to be clear, I mean continue to release Time Capsules (which I'm not too crazy about, but the Devs are most likely going to do it anyway), while also adding cool new things to the Marketplace as well.
Yes, great suggestion. Like already mentioned it would be a nice addition if every material had its own skin, just like we now have the cosmic skin and cosmic material. And yes, I love DCUO so, Marketplace purchase only! If someone LOVES the look of the Phoenix material or any other material but can't get their hands on them, they would atleast be able to make a compromise and buy the skin right off the Marketplace.
We are asking since years to put new cool stuff to the Marketplace.The only thing we got is more useless trash. My Bankslots on 15 Toons are flooded with mods exos komplex and other trash but still no phönix feather or and other rare piece So the only thing I would ask for is "what I have to do to finish those feats" pay another 500 bucks for nothing? or gimme the chance to buy those feats on marketplace,like a new player can do with event marks..
