Yeah it's a bit tougher than I thought.
im just starting to play again lol. Oboe was my main thing for a few years and after I tackled Paginini I thought if I could do the same on flute, I'd break a barrier for myself.
By far it's the Octavian intervals that throw me off. Being as though the flute functions differently in embouchure and uses the same lip position and air strength in fifths im trying to find where I should shift my finger weight and air speed to get certain notes to resonate and really bring out the tenuto effect.
