Assuming you were looking to get some money from the transaction, and not just give them away...and trust your league mate? Hand him the cats....post a rubber chicken or 'Belasso blvd' or other trash, in the broker for X dollars (say 1 mil), league mate buys rubber chicken at 1 mil, you get 1 mil minus listing fee (so pad the price to 1.05 mil to cover that) via the broker, no cash trade needed. Yes, def more of a hassle, but how often is this happening to you? Is it happening more than one or 2 times a day? Bonus for your league mate, if someone snipes the rubber chicken you both win!

So if he said 'account pooled' as opposed to 'account bound' you'd be fine with the proposal?

Agreed it would not get rid of them....but it would make it much harder to co-ordinate...maybe hard enough that they would scale back operations or move to greener pastures. It's way easier today to just tell company X you want gold and pay whatever fee they have, then go to your mail and collect the money. You'd have to add a layer of back and forth communicating the item to sell and price to sell it, and likely you'd get some users who'd post as instructed but the seller gets someone elses listing. I'd kind of assume that people would start looking for odd items at overpriced prices and post their own to match it...hoping to intercept the sale for some free money. It would definitely be an inconvenience of some level otherwise this is how they'd be doing it today as it would be harder to track the movement. Same with hand to hand trades....as far as I know (and I don't except hearing what randoms say in group chat), they don't do hand to hand trades...they mail the money....cause it's more convenient, ergo...any changes made would be inconvenient.

Okay, yeah, that could work... and if becomes permanent, then that's what's going to have to be done. OR... we can just trade with each other as we have been since the game came out. Selling and trading on and off the broker was fine until all this money glitch stuff started happening. If they fix the problem, and there's no more money glitch, then what's wrong with trading and selling amongst ourselves?

If they did a flat % based squish like 50% reduction to all players money above $50,000 and have all items delisted off the broker a few days prior to the change

However it's a change that needs to happen with a warning that it's coming, but is stealth implemented keep players aware but avoiding them trying any workarounds prior to the fix

Because they have fixed the problem before...several problems in fact...and someone always finds a way to F it up. Even if they did sweeping bans of people and got every glitch, cheat and gold seller in one move, someone would always find a way to screw it up again...most likely the same people who got kicked and just then set up a new account....or already have a slush account set up for just such an emergency.

Yes...it sucks for those of us who did not take advantage of the situation...no...it's not fair at all, but it's the reality of where we are. We either A) do something, in which case the honest get screwed but could maybe recover honestly or B) do nothing and those who already cheated get to run the show screwing the honest guy anyway. At least if we are getting screwed, why not clean up some of the mess as well?

That ship has sailed. Besides the fact that most people who were the largest abusers, or those who expected it to blow up at any time, already divested, anyone who didn't has now had a few days to rectify that fact. They should have blocked the ability to mail money before unbanning people if they planned on anything other than a total money wipe. The bad guys got their warning already.
