I've seen a lot of talk about how the final DCUO raid should include Darkseid or some other big bad DCU bad guy... I think the final fight should be against a Brainiac-corrupted dev team. How do you think the fight should flow? Who are the bosses? I'm thinking one of them has to be Spytle, but halfway through the fight, he teleports to San Diego. SJ would summon Loche and Tunso as adds. Mepps could have a banhammer attack that silences your powers for a set duration. What other attacks and mechanics should they have?
One occasionally used attack should revert your character to level 1 stats and style, and the only way to cure the affect (aside from dying), is to have your group mates cast three different buff powers on you. In essence buffing your character back to normal in 3 moves. #offthetopofmyhead
Tunso's skull attack reverts you to CR 126 with Tunso Test stats Mepp's stun has Soon TM circling you while you act out the head pain emote
There's only one mechanic this type of raid would feature: Use your ability once, then you have to spend replay badges to unlock it again.
as you play the raid your power is seen as the weakest and thus by the "mid range plan attack move" in the raid, everyone else's powers is made more powerfull leaving you power as being completely useless since it is seen as the weakest thus shalt not get any buff or fix for an unknown time and be last on the list to be fixed. you see a "promised gu50 hotfix totem" like in UM that is supposed to easly cure your power temporarily to make it acceptable again but it dosen't seem to work, no matter how many times you try. Thus doomed to wait for ages and do nothing while other continue to play....
No raid. Open world PVP event similar to how the beta ended. Let DCUO's death rattle be a whimper into the unplayable laggy abyss whence it came.
And then to win we have to destroy the servers... Which when the last server is destroyed we find our characters in a black void... With the last surviving Dev simply saying that the Servers contained your entire world... And claiming that the only thing keeping our characters alive is the save files stored on his laptop... (The final battle then takes place in an endless black void, where by design the Dev's one shot attack is called "Delete" where those "Killed" by the attack have that character deleted permanently and are booted from the game. Of course killing the Final Dev results in the laptop getting fried and a TPK that deletes all of the remaining characters in the party.(But unlocks "Offline mode" as the final prize obtainable in the game.)
Whenever Spytle is near a a character a mini and partially transparent scoreboard appears over his (Spytle's) head. This scoreboard is a live count for DPS stats on each character. Easily attracting the eyes of all DPS playing in the group thus killing all notions of teamwork or strategy and paying attention to nothing but who can put out the highest damage numbers. There is no actual status or action caused by the mini scoreboard, it's affects are purely up to the players.
