Cost of programming

Any experienced programmer here that may be able to tell how much it would cost or how long it would take on average to create a program that uses the API to let players track feats and also compare them, so anyone can see who needs the same feats and to easier differentiate on which ones to focus as a team?

I know of those websites that already show feats but I couldn't find anything that lets you compare with others, so you're stuck looking up every feat for every member individually, which doesn't help anyone.

It hasn't been updated to the new UI yet but it still works.

There's a problem inasmuch as a LOT of the Feats on the Census are both out-of-date in their descriptions (and requirements), and nothing since about Metal Part I has been added with names and descriptions, AFAIK - just Feat ID and 0/10/25/50/100 Feat Point fields and not much else.

I've not looked recently, but I'll check later - I am intending to make an online version of something like what you describe when I can get round to it - but it's a lot of work cleaning up the raw Census data, and assigning names and descriptions to those "empty" Feats.

I'm intending to take a week or more out from playing once the Bonus Weeks stop being attractive, or I "finish" SttS, whichever comes first, so send me a PM and we can talk about requirements.

I'd do this for fun / the challenge / possibly portfolio and to help others, no payment required - but the flipside to that is obviously that it'd be on my timescale.

The coding is trivial, but the data set is a nightmare in it's raw form, but I've got plenty of experience with cleaning up ****** data sets (I used to work for Local Government on their Property Database, where all of the addresses had been input by hand over decades by hundreds of different people...).

Post House of Legends, plenty of Feats have also jumped ship from being Role-specific, Faction-specific, Episode-specific, etc., which makes filtering the Census Data on those requirements inaccurate, too - but not, for instance, "Achieve Level 10 as a Controller", where you would want that to be filtered in/out.
