Don't know if it's ever been asked but... what color library does the game use when applying hex codes to game models? For example when you go into Photoshop and you pick one of the million palettes/books like "Pantone solid coated" or whatever... I'm that kind of costume nerd that when I try to grab inspiration from real pictures the colors are always scuffed if I eyedropper them from anything found in a Google Image search and would like to figure out whatever mystical sauce is necessary to get my colors juuuuust right.
As far as our character styles, the texture of the piece may distort whatever color we picked. There's also environmental lighting that also distorts the actual color For NPCs they're all "hand painted" and detailed to give them a more polished look.
