Hey everyone, need some help. Ive had trouble since the patch last week with launching EQ2. I originally got a fatal error message ; EverQuest II has detected an unrecoverable error and must shutdown. <verify> C:\eq2\framework\core\devices\directX9RenderDevice.cpp(1985)irectX Error. (D3DERR_NOTAVAIABLE)00adb)ce. I updated my directX, it didn't work, I uninstalled and reinstalled, it didn't work. I called SOE support. They had me reinstall the directX latest version, it didn't work and I'm at a loss. the game allows me to sign in, but them when it goes to install goes grey and locks up. Any help or suggestion would be great.
This is a very common problem. Download the DirectX 9 files and drop them directly in your EverQuest II folder: http://eq2wire.com/files/dx9eq2.zip
I swear to god this is not worth the aggravation... I play WOW, someone said this is as good but never had an issue with WOW....
