[Suggestion] NS-Archer Moving to Tool or Ability slot or moving to Heavy Assault Tool slot.

    Because people rarely read I decided to put entire suggestion on topic.

    What do You think about moving Archer to Tool or Ability slot or moving to Heavy Assault Tool slot instead of rockets?

    Archer is greate supporting weapon and it have good balance right now, but I think the placement of that weapon could be better. Those are only possibilities of making it a good supporting weapon without changing it purpose.

    In my opinion: Ability slot for engineer it the best choice from those 3.

    I would be grateful for rational critique and anticipation of possible negative consequences of that actions.

    I've suggested letting Heavy Assault use it as a tool before. I like the gun a lot, and it would be nice to have something with more range for HA.

    As for Engineer, I'm clinging onto the hope that we will get some form of mobile cover (like a large shield or something) in the ability slot, and I'd like to still be able to use the Archer along with it. For this, having it as a primary is the only balanced and practical way of making that work.

    Now, if they wanted to let Engineer use the Archer in either the primary weapon or the ability slot (the player choosing one; couldn't have two Archers at the same time), I'd be fine with that.

    Since we're mentioning ideas here and since i dont want to make a thread just for this
    What do you guys think of a very close quarters shotgun turret for the engy ? again this is just a suggestion so dont eat me alive lol

    also i'd love to see the Archer in the 3rd weapon slot on Heavy Assault, i've always kinda wanted a in door rocker launcher so to speak, something for maxes and that would be good, not sure if balanced though
    but with engy having it as a side thing ? idk seems a bit too much

    Shotgun turret? Why not.

    Putting Archer in ability will prevent Engee from being more powerful. You will have to choose between turrets and Archer and Archer is very situational.

    Heavy Assault characters already have several launchers to pick from, they don't NEED the Archer. The Archer was introduced to give Engineers a more mobile ranged weapon against MAX units and other enemy equipment.

    I play engineer with Archer and Emissary and I thinks it's fine the way it is. No change needed, thank you.

    I wouldn't want to lose the great combo of archer and Spitfire really.
