We need Heavily armored Maxes that Only use melee this can be a special loadout with heavier armor Specially for Vanu we are Science Cultists based faction We are Zealots !!!!!!!! Please add this in I'm dieing to Cut / melt puny little infantry with some Light sabers XD
Lol, not sure about lightsabers, I think all MAXes should be OHK with the melee weapon. I do feel the Vanu MAX needs some kind of CQC weapon that can compete with the NC MAX in close base assault fighting. I think something like a huge frickin plasma torch that has a beam that extends out - starting to fade at say 10m with a large damage drop-off out past that. Anything in the beam at 10m or less gets fried.
Hey I wouldnt mind seeing a Specialised Melee loadout equipped that made for faster strikes or mabey just a cert so that the MAX slap is faster. Just Imagine the banzai super charge of a squad of maxes into a base and ripping apart humans.
With the Melee Max's i was hoping for increased Running Speed and higher armor since they got no ranged attacks I personally think this is a awesome idea and it will fit Vanu lore in my Opinion AND might give us a chance versing the NC Scatter maxes those guys own....
I can't help but think of Metal Fatigue - Electro-Claws and Energy Saws, Axes and Power-fists, Katanas...
How about a beam weapon similar to what the VS BFR had. Notice when they fire at the door and the jammer alarm goes off.

I find the MAX punch a touch depressing - and charge should do damage but I guess since we only had a brief period where people were solid and it just encouraged the moronic griefers, probably won't ever be implemented. I'd like a cert tree that gave the TR and NC a metal spike or sword and Vanu a Light Sabre. Deploy it and you lose the ability to fire one of your armed weapons while deployed. Give it the same damage as a punch but a much larger range and speed before being able to deliver another blow.
I want these on my MAX. Keep your lighsabers out, this isn't star wars, lol. Here's a bone to throw to the NC and TR MAXes. IDK which would own which.
