Downloaded hotfix and now the game crashes when loading.

After hitting the play button i get the black load screen for 2 secs and the game crashes "Planetside2.exe has stopped working"

working fine before the hotfix and never crashed in game or during loading.

Hmmm. Open planetside 2 when you are at the launcher go to the little wrench icon [Advanced options] then click Validate game assets

I tried this, its replaced 2 files but still crashes upon load screen

Same **** happens to me to. quite anoying

Servers are down. The game won't load with the login server offline.

usually it loads,takes you to the Char screen and doesnt let you log in.

It is crashing for me too after the Hotfix...thats truly great!

damn it guys, cant you see all the servers are down for maintenance, go to the homepage you see all servers saying in big RED LETTERS MAINT

And it still works fine you just have to wait until THEY BRING THE SERVERS BACK ONLINE!

Did they just now take them down? I was hoping to test out an updated GPU BIOS with the only game I have installed, guess I got on at a bad time lol

Having the same problem with the crash - and 'yes' the servers are down but it shouldn't crash. It should tell you the servers are offline and not crash.
So there is some sort of problem.

They have taken the login server down, so the game can't get past the first check. And yes I agree that the game shouldn't crash and redirect you to a webpage that says G99 Error, and you should get a lot more information about what the problem is, such as "the servers are down"

So from what I've read, if the login server is down the launchpad will crash to desktop if I try to start the game. Wow...please fix this.

Hmmmm ive got this problem too now. Well Nvidia has a driver update if some people havent noticed yet. Didnt help me though. Wonder what the issue is...

The servers are down all the time and the game doesn't crash because of it. So stop being a white-knighting twit and let the mods respond.
