I'm posting this is a new thread because the TSRs seem to only respond once to any particular thread, no matter how long it gets. Two other threads about this same issue are here and here. I'm consistently crashing out of PS2 with no error code or message after about 10-20 minutes of gameplay, sometimes less, sometimes more. I have Windows 7 Enterprise 32 bit with 4 gigs of ram with a Quadro 1000M with all drivers up to date, but many others in the threads above (especially the first one) have reported the same issue with windows 7 64 bit and over 4 gigs of ram, various ATI and Nvidia graphics card. Various "fixes" are proposed in different threads (including the old bcdedit bootconfig modification to increase user memory and decrease system memory, but this doesn't fix anything for most of us, isn't relevant for those with 64 bit windows, and causes instability in other ways) but nobody from SOE or otherwise has identified a cause or solution. Is SOE aware of this issue, is it actively being worked on? Is there any additional information you need from myself or others having the same issue to help diagnose it? Thanks! Here's the contents of one instance of outofmemory.txt, which is created in "C:\Users\Public\Sony Online Entertainment\Installed Games\PlanetSide 2" every time I crash: Size CountOwner See blue link sig. Yeah, bcdedit ALONE at 2500 didnt work for me ether, but A, B and C together did. What I can tell you is that the client uses more than 2gigs several times during a session so if 2gigs is set to max, you crash.
As I posted elsewhere, I can't change increaseuserva to anything but default on my PC since some particular driver is hard-coded to use some high address space (blue screen on boot.) Anyway, plenty of people with 64-bit windows and over 4 gigs of ram are having the same frequent crashes. I can't believe SOE actually advocates modifying your boot config to compensate for lack of quality control in this game.
"PlanetSide 2 has stopped working" Since a couple of patches ago, I recieve this error everytime I exit the game. So far, never during gameplay.
UP I HAVE THIS PROBLEM WITH THE DESCRIPTION OF FILE TEXT CALLED OUT OF MEMORU AND I HAVE 4 GB RAM AND WINDOWS 7 32 BITS WITH THE FIX INCREAUSE USER 3072 AND CHECK WITH 4096 BUT IN 2 HOURS OR FEW MORE THE GAME FREEZE THE COMPUTER 1 MINUTE AND APPEAR APLICATION ERROR...... FOR ME THIS PROBLEM APPEAR SINCE UPDATE 1.
They do not advocate it, in fact some users found this workaround, because to my knowledge SOE currently can not offer any solution to this problem (they would need to decrease memory consumption of the game somehow). So if you cant modify your boot configuration (i would advice you to try that route nontheless, maybe identify the driver which is not compatible with increaseuserva and see if you can live without it), i would try to use the lowest possible settings for any graphics/sound etc. setting possible (you would need to modify the usersettings.ini to get the lowest possible settings). If Planetside is more stable with those settings, you can try to increase each setting carefully again. Also you can try lower amounts for increaseuserva like 2560, maybe your driver still works then.
