Spitfires are useless, and even more now since the avoidance implant changes.
Let's make them fun again by adding AA and invisible spitfires. And another idea: Grenades launcher spitfires for splash dmg.

Well we can tell who crutches on spitfires :)

Don't worry man, the actual percentage of people that use avoidance at any given time will be very low.

We don't need anything else invisible in this game and certainly not any device that automatically spams grenades.

Ok so any ideas how to make spitfires less useless?
They really suk right now.. they can only kill a few noobs but that' it

    They are useful right now.

They are not strong enough to outright kill anything but can NOT be ignored.
They absolutely have to be dealt with on a point hold. If they do not draw fire, then they continuously soften a target.
They make great alarm system to cover a firelane (yes even with a few folks using avoidance)
They make a poor-mans baby-gate used to stand on things and get a head glitch over the top.

As a whole try to bait targets into engaging the spitfire, then you engage the target simultaneously. That's where they really get dangerous. You'll win the 1v1 engagement and likely have to simply repair rather than replace your spitty.

Honestly, spitfires atm are too good. They could probably use a functionality change to only taget certain things (like a spotted enemy?), but have higher dps.

They should be functionally useless without anyone supporting it, and far less automatic.

Spitfires are a great alarm and distraction, if they could actually score kills on their own they would be stupidly OP.

Emphasis on the alarm system when tanking. You should be an engi anyways if you're tanking, so any time you might be on your current ground for a while take a second to drop out and drop a spitty. It really helps against the C4 fairies. Not by killing them, but by alerting you to them and softening them up so you don't need a direct hit (even with AP) to kill them.

Honestly, I primarily use them as a means of situational awareness. It's like a recon motion spotter that shoots back. They still do a good job at that.
