Squad Logistics Implant - what does it do?

    • Squad Logistics Implant*
    • Firewall Implant*
    • Disengage Implant*
So they list things you get, but they don't explain what they do? Huh?
    https://www.planetside2.com/news/ps2-6th-anniversary-bundles-nov-2018
is there any place where they explain these implants or anyone bought the Warmachine’s 6th Anniversary Bundle - 8999 DBC ?
Getting the Logistics Specialist implant seems like a pipe dream, so I'm assuming that the Squad Logistics Implant is something entirely different.
I'm assuming Firewall would help keep a turret you are in from being hacked, but with PS2 Devs it could be anything.
Same goes for Disengage. Disengage from what?
Would it be so hard to make it easy to find these answers?
Like maybe on the same post?
Or does that make too much sense?

Firewall just gives a turret you place or use 25% more health for 360 seconds. Disengage is only for Maxes and when 1 uses emergency repair ability enemies are thrown away from it and the Max's sprint speed is increased by 25%. Squad logistics lets any squad mate spawn in your vehicle (any vehicle with a passenger seat) just like if you were in a sunderer.

However over the implant while your are in-game and they are explained.

I wonder if the vehicle spawn rules for logistics implant is the same as for a Sunderer.

If you go in game and then to the implants page, click on each implant and it will give details of what the implant does. The information is already there, drama not necessary.

its an odd thing to include in a £60 bundle tbh,
considering one of the only decent changes coming with the spawn revamp "in the near future"
is that you can spawn into any ally vehicle with an open seat in the area.
  6. Nintyuk

Squad logistics allows Manned Liberators, Harrassers, MBT's, Flashes and ANT's to become squad spawns in to empty seats.
  7. Villainous Hydrosa

    Squad Logistics: What Nintyuk said.
Disengage: Max Implant. Activating Emergency Repair ability pushes enemies around you away.
Firewall: Infiltrators only. Interacting with allied base and spitfire turrets gives them a "firewall" that enemy infiltrators have to hack before they can actually hack the turret, in addition to giving them an additional 25% health.

No, it's better. You're people can spawn on you wherever you are. As long as you're sitting in the drivers seat that is, and have open seats available. If you can put the vehicle right on the letter, no deploy zones do not apply to the implant.

In fact the info is there for :
    • Firewall Implant*
    • Disengage Implant*
And, honestly, I didn't look for either of those ... I only care about if "Squad" Logistics was a variant of Logistics "Specialist"
    • Squad Logistics Implant*
    , however, is not listed.
What you all are talking about is Logistics "Specialist" and not "Squad" Logistics unless the DEVs have dropped-the-ball in naming it.
Have any of you actually bought the big box and were granted the Logistics "Specialist" instead of gaining something called "Squad" Logistics?
Because that's a copy-and-paste from the post on it. It clearly says "Squad" Logistics and not Logistics "Specialist" ... and "Squad" Logistics is not listed in-game as an implant.
  11. Talthos

Holy crud, I am SO going to do this at some point.

It'll be sad if that gets 'fixed', so that it gets affected by no-deploy zones.
  12. GroeneAppel

There's nothing that needs fixing. The mechanic is the same as the Galaxy/Valk and Sunderer.
This means that instead of a Galaxy hovering above a point and having it's squad spawn into it and drop out over and over, you can do it on the ground with an Ant.
You already can do it with a sunderer too, provided you stay inside the sunderer for the duration.

The main use of this implant pretty much comes down to easily being able to meet up with your squadmates, no matter where you are. This is probably the most useful in a Liberator or MBT. Instead of having to pick them up, they can just spawn right next to you in the other gunner seat.
  13. JobiWan

Well in last night's stream Wrel showed the bundle and it's definitely Logistics Specialist implant that you get, so it's clearly just a typo when they call it the Squad Logistics implant.

I have it. The most common uses for me:

    1. Pull a quick lib and get it over target fast without having to coordinate gunner pickup.
    2. Chain pull cheap harassers. If I die, I just tell the gunner to wait in spawn screen while I pull another from the map.
    3. (favorite) Never have to beg for a tank gunner again.
    4. Inserting a squad behind lines. Rarely done but works. Take a stealth flash right to the point for example, then have people spawn in and exit vehicle. You can move whole squads this way.

    Agreed.
Someone in my outfit buys the high end pack every year. He said it was the Logistics "specialist".
When I went to buy it in the Market Place, it is listed as Logistics Specialist, and Logistics "specialist" unlocked when I purchased it.
