It's a CSS issue for browsers like Firefox. After you click "Edit," select "More options," and you'll be taken to a full window edit text area.

Good to know, I was wondering why not editing was allowed here.

It's down near the "Report" link in your post. It only exists for thirty minutes from the initial time of posting, including the time spent editing the post afterwards. After thirty minutes, whatever you wrote is binding until the end of time.
