I have been playing this game recently but whenever a big battle is going on my FPS drops from like 60-100FPS at a small outpost with not much going to like 20FPS and constant stutters making the game unplayable. I go to the FPS thing in the game and whenever there is a big battle there is the [CPU] Bottleneck and at a small outpost a [GPU] Bottleneck. I have an i5-6500, GTX 950 and 8GB of DDR4 2133MHz of RAM. When playing the game my CPU only seems to be used about 20-30% by the game and CPU temps of about 40C with a stock fan cooler. I have seen many other posts about what settings to turn down and nothing has seemed to work. here is my whole options file since I do not know what to put as I am a noob. I was also speaking to some people in game and they were saying that my temps were not right for my CPU and that people with lower end CPU's were getting better FPS than me. Go into power/battery options and change performance from "balanced" to "high performance"? Worked for me
If this is in Windows then I have already done that. If this is a game option can you please tell me about this. I just dont understand why my CPU bottlenecks so hard on this game.
This CPU 100% should not bottleneck, and neither should the CPU, you might want to mess with the advanced part of the battery settings, just to double check. If that isn't it, you might want to verify the game files and if that doesn't work, check if it's a temperature problem, that should be the only reason why it's throttling down. Then try reinstalling.
I have validated and everything is fine, there were no files that were invalid. I'm not sure if my CPU is bust but i highly doubt that since i got it like 2 weeks ago brand new. I have checked BIOS settings to see if anything was wrong but in fairness it was a little confusing for me. So if there are any settings to look out for in BIOS then please tell me. and yes all cores are enabled in BIOS.
Turn off Shader Cache in the main menu of the Nivida driver. that will stop the hitching. Make sure you are only running 1 pre-frame in the main driver. Never use the nivida setup for PS2. trilinar and bilinar stuff off.
I run this guys INI on my rig and it gives me stellar results considering my weak cpu. AMD A8 5600K OC'ed to 4.4 16 GB PNY 1600 Mhz RAM OC'ed to 1867 Mhz EVGA GTX960 4GB FTW Oh, and I run Razor Cortex.
