[Suggestion] NS-AM7 Archer.....must have supressor

    The weapon M-U-S-T have a suppressor. it is a magnet for every infiltrator...tank.....cannon and infantryman around. Simply unplayable unless you are surrounded by your own forces. Certainly not a rifle for classic sniper play against any tank,turret,or max when everyone knows where you are. Incredible loud sound, and you show on the mini-map.
    Is there a sniper rifle that doesn't have a suppressor ? I think not.

    I completely agree! I've heard of some talk about the Archer getting a buff... maybe the suppressor is one of the buffs/side bonuses.

    It's not a sniper rifle... it's an anti-material rifle, quite different things in fact, just because it has a high powered scope doesn't put it in a different category. The weapon only does 400 damage to infantry, that's at least a two-shot headshot which with it's slow fire rate makes it impractical to use in such a manner.

    The weapon does not need a suppressor in any capacity, the weapon does need some buffs though for it's intended role of anti-vehicle/anti-MAX. Honestly it should be made easier to use... double the RPM(Make it semi-auto and not bolt action), double the magazine size, but half the damage. You will still do the same damage in the same amount of time but there is less time where you are sat there rechambering. To compensate it could be given a longer reload as well.

    THE TYPE OF WEAPON IS CALLED A SNIPER RIFLE. These are not my words...that is the description for the weapon. There is no question about what it is called.
    "The NS-AM7 Archer is a Nanite Systems sniper rifle exclusive available to the Engineer class."

    I think that's the way it's meant to be played. It's a weapon for "support heroes" so you basically need just 1 per squad, specifically designed to kill Max Units while the others of the team cover your back. As lone wolf you will hard it very hard to do your job.

    By the way a suppressor would make it also less viable from long distance, forcing you to stay closer to your target. Is it really worth? In my experience I prefer to fire a few shots then move to a different position ;)

    I know what it's called... it's wrong. The weapon is not powerful against organic matter enough to be a sniper rifle... it's an anti-material rifle. Take for instance the damage values... the max/min damage of the Archer is 400 / 10m, 300 / 125m. 400 damage max for a bolt action is terrible, that is in fact the min damage of the weaker bolt action snipers... THIS IS NOT A SNIPER RIFLE.

    If you are using it as such and complaining about it's performance then it's no wonder you want this change. The weapon would become brokenly powerful with a suppressor, not only would you not know where infantry are pelting you from, you wouldn't hear or see their tracers.

    Would you like rocket launcher suppressors, or maybe a suppressor on your Basilisk as well?

    Who would ever choose a weapon that can be used on only one class ? You can shoot at lots of things. Evey time this SNIPER RIFLE speaks the world knows where you are.Want to take out a turret ? Try having to make all those shots and not be noticed? A tank...same thing. You can't "work" taking anything down when you announce yourself and have to move after 1-2 rounds.
    The company calls it a sniper rifle.I did not make up the words.

    Then stop looking at it as a sniper rifle... the Archer is an incredibly SPECIALIZED weapon intended almost solely to take out MAX units, it's ability to damage vehicles is purely a gimmick and only worth while in a squad.

    Sniper rifled take players down instantly ...who never saw or heard the weapon. So what is the surprise that a tank which has to b hit over a dozen time...have the same challenge every players has dealing with instant sniper death.

    Are you saying Daybreak did not know what they were making ? Is that your argument ? They could have called it a battle rifle..assault,carbine etc Nope SNIPER is the name THEY chose. Sniper says stealth. That's why ALL sniper rifles offer a suppressor...except this one...that is unbelievably slow and takes a very long time to take anything down except a max.

    They knew very well what they were making, they just have limited categories to place this weapon which has a very SPECIFIC role of dealing with MAX units. The Archer is not intended for ANTI-INFANTRY as you believe it is, it is not a SNIPER RIFLE as you believe it is. The Archer is an ANTI-MATERIAL RIFLE. Where in the game do anti-vehicle weapons offer any sort of suppressor? You are using the weapon incorrectly and dubbing it improper and in need of an attachment that has zero purpose on it... you're playing Engineer and want a long ranged weapon? Pick up your faction's Battle Rifle, they can have a suppressor as you so demand for your arsenal. Or better yet play Infiltrator, they have the REAL sniper rifles in the game that you so crave.

    Neither myself nor Daybreak can be held responsible for your incompetence for identifying the niche role of a weapon... I will argue no further and you will be tasked with sitting there and realizing your mistake and owning up to it like an adult instead of blindly following your misinformation out of pride.

    I don't see why it needs a suppressor, if you use it you're already a support role and should be around teammates

    If you want to get pedantic, sniping is the action of attacking a person or persons with a rifle from a place of concealment.

    I use it just fine but i dont suppress any weapons so i wouldnt know honestly

    Theres a big issue with that

    Max suits would have much less fear of the weapon because they can safely and easily poke out and fire like they usually do

    Itll set the weapon possible behind other more viable options for catching max suits that arent out in the open

    The weapons fine, in fact it's one of the few examples of a good team work weapon in the game. The engineer class has to make an equipment sacrifice in order to become highly effective at doing a specialised role (killing maxes).
