I see hacker people...all the time.

Hackers in this game have grown in to a ridiculous number. Not that long ago, there was a guy sitting in the main base, advertising his hacks. I have seen a lot of shady crap go on in this game, and simply felt maybe it was simply bad luck. But then I did a google search, and the hacking programs that have been released in 2015 alone, are just jaw dropping to say the least.

This game has died to a breed of hackers. As much as I hate to say it, but if I can't get fair competitive players in this game, then perhaps it is time for this game to die. The Development team clearly have been outmatched by the hackers...time to let the game die.

I know some players will come off with something slick to say, or even have the audacity to claim they have never seen a hack...and all I can say to that is...B.S. You either are blind as a bat, or you are too naive to know when you've been had. To the people who will come off with the "It's a player skill issue" all I can say to you is, yes, you are right...my player skill is far inferior to hacking skill.

To anyone else, google planetside 2 hacks...then spend the next couple hours reading page after page, video and video, website after website and then come back here and tell us how fair this game is. When a player sits in the main base, and openly voice communicates his hacking program in an attempt to market his product...then you know the game has fallen hard.

To the hackers, who will most likely come in this thread and attempt to placate the readers with claims of "I have never seen a hack in this game..." Don't bother...the game is all yours. I'm done.

I must admit PS2 was the game with lowest hackers but now numbers of hacker have grown rly hard.

Protip for dealing with cheaters: use a spitfire and get your friends to do the same. it seems that their aimbots don't work against AI and people who cheat are typically so bad that they routinely lose against a spitfire turret in a 1v1.

Also as one of the general rules in PS2: when rekd by better player or cheat, pull a MAX. ;)

seriously though I've come across one aimbotter yesterday. that was the first cheater I've seen in a while. ok there's the occasional teleporting/speedhacking dude. but their typically not a threat and sooner or later those terribads teleport near some magrider or harrasser and get roadkilled anyway.

There is actually a big reason why so many hackers suddenly came to Planetside 2 and thats because of H1Z1.

If my reasearch is correct you will find the most amount of hackers in survival games. People bought H1Z1 made or got some hacks got banned and went to Planetside 2 and started to hack there. Though usually they don't get much further than BR 15 - 25 before they get banned.

Under the development of H1Z1 DBG should really have thought of making their anti-hack software better as they should have known this would have happend.

The best way to deal with cheaters is to either leave or find some way to outsmart their aimbot

People who tend to suggest they've never seen a hacker either have difficulty identifying hackers by sight or, as they have stated, they actually have had the fortune of never seeing a hacker. Others have seen what a hack looks like, and call out the people who see hackers "everywhere."

Additionally, Google searching for hacks tends to reveal lots of results that lead absolutely nowhere. You get that sort of thing in all forms on online games and the early decade games almost all forms of keygen programs were an endless run-around of spam signups and keylogger kit downloads, a cesspool of advertisement and phishing where you may never see the promised service. Youtube videos are even worse because video evidence in absence of credibility can not be verified. A prominent hack community had a published "2015" video using year-old footage of a build of the game with unconfirmed results; we don't even know whether anyone with any of the names in that video actually died even that year earlier (and, iirc, I don't think we ever actually saw another player in the video). Unless you've downloaded the hack yourself, installed it, and determined yourself that it works, it shouldn't count as a "working hack."

Even I can search online for information about UFO sightings.

There are certainly more and also more hackusations. I noticed after a patch a few months ago, my KD shot up and I wasn't getting head shotted while randomly falling as LA by sniper BR7s. But that started creeping back in. "script kiddies" is more accurate than "hacker". "Hacker" implies they put some effort into it. The game gimmicks also can feel like hacks. Client side hit detection, medkit tanking, and bad/inaccurate animations make people think scripts are involved.

i never see any on cobalt :O well maybe one every few months, its very rare though, and they always get piled on with reports so we get rid of them :D

I saw a hacker once his name was like well i forgot the last part of his name but the first part was "Guild" I used a sniper rifle at point blank at his chest and I didn't even get a hit.

i looked in to this and it seems that the hacks for H1Z1 will work on PS2 also after making some changes to it
now H1Z1 is an relative new game and new games suffer from hackers
i think the hacks will stop in time like it did for PS2

Oh, there are hackers, but I don't think there are as many of them as you want to believe.
Today, for example, I was fooling around pretending I'm elusive1 (CQC sniping) and ended up with 6.0 K/D(up from 2.0 with like ~50 kills) getting headshot after headshot after headshot like sick. I never did so well before and if I were one of those poor guys I would probably accuse myself of hacking.

    and so on...
That said there definetly are some hackers, I have seen one who definetly was hacking(in 35 days of total gameplay time) because he glitched himself into a wall and kept headshotting everything in render range with a sniper rifle. Still, I honestly think you should be more careful with hackusations.

I think the problem is likely worse than most people want to admit but not nearly as bad as some would have you believe. I think there are probably ESP hacks, aimbots, and maybe lag switches out there. But I don't think they are very prevalent - maybe a handful of people in every 3-400 players... either that or they are becoming a lot more subtle. I have been playing since beta and can only recall maybe 2-3 that I am completely sure were hacking in some way. Quite a few more I thought were suspicious but I can't say anything for certain. In most cases suspicious deaths are due to lag/performace or me being stupid.
  14. Shanther

I have played this game since Beta and I can count the number of actual hackers I have run into on one hand.

There's a BR 100 on Emerald who can't be anything other than aimbotting. His ability to get headshots, while hipfiring, from across a room is just inhuman.

I've seen three people run into a room with him and they all drop nearly instantly.

I'm not talking about a player who is just better than me, cause there's a lot of players better than me who will kill me 1v1 almost every time. I'm talking about inhumanly accurate. "Oh look there's a player on that hill that I can barely see cause he's so far awa.." *DING DING* I'm dead. Respawn, come at him from another direction at the same range *DING DING* I'm dead.

I don't think he's wallhacking, cause I've managed to surprise him before, but even then he will snap 180 degrees instantly and *DING DING* to the head and I'm dead.

    It's simply not possible.

when you run into a room and see two enemies looking away from you and one of them turns around real fast, too fast for a human to accomplish, and instantly downs you, then you can say hackers!!!

  17. Vargs

You can't really say this for sure. Dude could easily have just been checking behind him at the same moment that you entered the room, and landing a bunch of headshots in close quarters doesn't make you a hacker. My aim isn't especially great but I do that all the time.

It's unfortunately really difficult to tell if people are hacking in such a large, chaotic and varied game. I've only encountered one guy that I can say had an aimbot with 100% certainty. Even getting headshot from 50m away in deep cloak as a stalker infiltrator, you never know if it's hacking or simply cloak bugging out and not hiding your head or whatever.

And the last sentence is exactly my problem in dealing with them.
I have reported less than 10 guys for suspecting a hack, but thats only a fraction of the guys where that killed me in a very strange way. This game has so many issues, from hitdetection to enemies that don't render until they open up on me or even already killed me, that I can rarely, if ever, tell a hacker apart from SOE, now DBG, ******* something up for me.

    Concerning the "******* up" part:
Yesterday I shot a Tomcat ad a guy who used flares. The missile still followed and hit him. Didn't get a tell though, because it didn't kill him and I was too baffled to finish him off before his mates got me.

take a look guys. It is about headshots and just a skill. No cheats, aimbots and other stuff. Just skill, perfect hardware, perfect game mouse, perfect mouse pad and ideal connection
  20. Bekar

I love PS2 cause donate does not gives anybody an advantage in a gameplay. But! You will always lose to some1 who has professional mouse, mouse pad, perfect game system and good connection. And some skill
