It was doing that because the quote code after the #7 thing was broken. You had /quote] instead of [ /quote]. So the forum closed the tag for you, at the end of your post.
  4. ComradeHavoc

Do they? I guess most of the time they don't work for me :L
  5. ComradeHavoc

    140. Holding down grenade will cook it
    141. Holding down grenade and pressing the primary fire button (left mouse) will throw it with a large arc
    142. Holding down a grenade and pressing the aim down sights button (right mouse button) will underhand/roll the grenade
  6. ComradeHavoc

Have you seen how perfect night time was during the early beta?
  7. Vamperial

Yes. It was hard as hell to see anything. Realistic nights belong in Skyrim or WoW. Not a competitive FPS where the ability to see someone at a distance is the difference between dieing and surviving. Beside that, people would just cheat and raise the gamma at night on a macro while others that don't know how to do that would just be fodder.
  8. ComradeHavoc

    143. Disabled landings IE: Aircraft in the red, can have a skid landing. None of that silly drag on floor = boom.

    169. Flare gun (no not the fireworks gun) emits a large downwards facing darklight radius, only one flare active per player, 3 shots to kill, must reload every shot, comes in faction color, long reloads, and a long animation to switch (other words makes you vulnerable)
    170. Secondary melee weapons (longer reach 1 shot kills, not available for infiltrators, come on PS2 is already silly, and besides it would be a handicap towards players who stick with guns.... especially shotguns)
    171. Squad/Platoon leader placed Landing UI/marker
    172. Updated (not horribly laggy) real-time server territory maps. (update the IOS/Android application please)
    173. Tanks make a specific sound depending on where they are hit and with what (such as an acidic melting sound when hit by a VS AT weapon)
  9. Hatesphere

as much as i hate super dark nights, there are ways to prevent people from simply pumping up the gamma to see more. some games have people basically lose all texture and blend into the same black muck as everything else. so all upping your gamma does is turn the nigh from pitch black to pitch gray outside of a set radius. so unless an enemy is stupid enough to skylight himself you arent really going to see him.

Well, this is DGB/SOE we are talking about. If they can't be bothered to update their domain/webpage with Daybreak Games within 3 months of becoming DGB then the chances of them creating a night time where you can't just turn up gamma is minimal.

A dozen or so small things is realistic. A list that spans near 175 is just dreaming, at this point. :p
  14. Lucidius134

I got stuck with C4 just yesterday. Killed the LA who stuck me and moved away, got shot by bullets that hit the c4 and exploded. Wasn't near original C4 location and I didn't get c4'd by some one else I don't think.
  15. ComradeHavoc

Oh I thought they removed that, see there was a fun game in a biolab where we would pop a stick on a low BR player and wait for him to hide back in the spawn room with the other 30 player hiding there and boom. I guess it's the same with me and the AT grenade. Is it only the ability to stick C4 on friendlies removed?

I'm not sure how those quotes apply to realistic expectations or list sizes. Especially considering we have two years of game developement history and recent personnel cuts to consider.

Is it humanly possible to get everything on these lists into the game? Probably, in some form, but it's not realistic to expect everything on a 170+ long list within a reasonable time frame. A list which has a length that is counter to the title of the thread.

In short, my problem is with the amount of things you're listing and not with most of the things being listed.
  18. Vamperial

    -1 for being a grammar ****, Comrade.

You proved my point with the Beta video. Since you didn't understand what I meant let me say it again. Immersion belongs in RPGs not competitive FPSs.
  19. ComradeHavoc

First off there are no excuses for being ignorant, second off it didn't prove your point, immersion is a fundamental basis in any video game especially PS2, where you get deeply sucked into the long hours of player filled battles. This is why people get high end rigs to crank the video settings up. This is why PS2 has an amazing abundance of flare, and lighting effects.

FPS games real you in with adrenaline pumping action, (in the case of PS2) making you feel like a futuristic soldier fighting a never ending war across an alien war-torn explosion filled battle field. Darker nights would only enhance that, the explosive effects, projectile glows, base lights, vehicle lights, being stealthy, dark-light flashlights, night vision, infrared, lumifiber, and tracers.

If anyone has played those brutal standoff matches where TR if giving it their all to hold the crown whilst VS push from TI alloys and NC do horrific charges up the hill. Tracers everywhere.

You want the game to become something it's not. You're not worth my time and calling me ignorant because of a typo? That just shows how much of a elitist a$$ you are.
