Why are lasher squads not more of a thing?

GOKU (the best KU) runs a full platoon of Lashers on occasion. It's fun and has it's place, but it is highly situational, and once you get 20+ Lashers going at once even the heartiest of PCs grind to a crawl. Seriously. I've got an amazing system and an amazing video card, normally easily running 140fps, but Lasher ops bring me down to 20fps pretty quick. But it's amazing when we do it, and it's a sight to behold.

We also do Lancer platoons, which are dramatically more effective and likewise more fun.

Because people are doing Lancer/Vortex nests in the middle of NC/TR tank battles.

Used to be in PS1 that was how VS would hold a base... a few Lasher users could totally deny entry into any doorway or corridor in a base. It was a real ***** to root them out. I think the lash in PS1 was nastier than it is in PS2 though. Still, I'm glad it's not done more often.
