PS2 is a killer (literally)

    so i istalled 2 days ago PS2 played my first match died 5 times killed 1 and then when i was about to respown a got a black screen black screen (in game cursor was still working) after witch my os was not responding i shut down the pc via button after that the motherboard was beeping
    turns out 2 gb of my ram were fried...

    Irrespective of SOE's talent at breaking things, bricking RAM sticks is near impossible to do with software without BIOS flashing and other low-level gimmicks. While Sony is known to maliciously and covertly install remote control malware on people's machines, PS2 isn't responsible for your RAM burning. It's the fault of a bad overclock, bad BIOS config, failing PSU, crappy motherboard or RAM.

    If there is a weak spot in your system / software PS2 will find it and bring your PC to its knees...

    I would read it as a sign. Don't use 4GB RAM in a modern system. Time for an upgrade :D

    well i cant upgrade i have to buy new pc and that wont be cheap
