Thank you for another great weekend, SOE! Two months now and still no response (here on the forums, twitter facebook) or a fix...
The thing that worries me the most is that despite the player base contiually falling at an alarming rate, the ping issue seem to get worse. Should it not be the other way round? less players, less server load, better server performance? I dont understand it at all.
So, looks like the issue is back. Not to the same extend like it was in October but nonetheless it's killing the fun. Ping 180-350 in an empty warpgate... PromptCritical was asking for trace routes on reddit (http://www.reddit.com/r/Planetside/comments/2pexr2/eu_server_latency_issues/) but no statement since. Can we expect a fix before the holidays or do we have to play with a broken ping until next year???
Got the same problem. This is ridicoulus. The ping is rising from 180 ms base to 22000 ms. This game is so dead...
Not only Cobalt - Miller ist laggy as hell,too. I've got a 15k Ping right now, like most in my squad. BEST.PING.EVER. Thanks, Sony Offline Entertainment Since i loved to play PS1 which had an montly fee i also pay for PS2. "Support Level: Auraxium" it says - but this will be my last Month as an Premium-Player because it feels like they don't even spend one dollar from my monthly fee for Servers/Hosting or anything like this. With a Ping of around 15.000 an Online Game is unplayable - but i've got that going for me, just waiting to be a Freemium-Player so i am not allowed to moan about stuff like this anymore. And if anybody from SOE should read this: Dude? If you dont reply to the Community you will loose a lot of Players (for Management: Just replace the word "Players" with "Customers", you know, this kind of People which give you Money)
Haha, what a mess. Game is unplayable due lags/pings, today it was funny seeing these massive lags and people flying all over. My scythe was running away from me, lol.
Still nothing has changed. Ping unplayable high most of the time. Is anyone at SOE working on fixing it?! Anyone?

The same ******** has been going on on Emerald for weeks now, with no sign that anything gets done about it. I am sick and tired of this.
Just left Cobalt with awful pings. - on nigh empty Hossin it jumped from 30ms to 120ms at the warpgate - on scarcely populated Esamir it went up to 350ms at the warpgate - on Amerish (very populated) it went up to 600ms Yet when i do a tracert, i can't see any problem. Not sure if the IP is .166 or .167, but the result was the same. The IP of Cobalt is the one with .167 at the end. Sometimes tracert shows no high ping at all but I still have a very high ping ingame. Ping to the gameserver according to tracert is like 50ms but ingame I have 350ms. I'm no network technician so I really don't have a clue what's going on and what's causing it. However I don't have high pings in any other games I play, it's solely Planetside 2 where I get pings of 200+ (even in an empty warpgate, as mentioned earlier).
I think the same man! Unfortunately I have completed a one-year subscription, which was a mistake. I am really disappointed by SOE.

Just logged off Miller. Breaking 2.5k ping on a 35mb Down/15mb Up connection? Nah not cool. Also made me laugh when I saw this in the latest patch notes: Get your **** together.
