Hostile Paradigm is a multi-gaming clan that started in Planetside 2. We are a group of 18+ players who enjoy multiple titles such as ARMA III, Rising Storm, League of Legends, Minecraft, or whatever else is the flavor of the month on steam. Along the way we’ve acquired a number of members from outfits such as [NUC] & [LG13].

Due to getting burned out on the game, we scaled back our size quite a bit and stopped actively running Operations in Planetside 2. With the transition into the Emerald server, we feel that new life has been breathed into the game, so we are resuming operations on a scale that has not yet been attempted by our outfit. We have noticed that while there are quite a few skilled TR outfits on Emerald, there does not seem to be any large scale operations that are run the way we’ve come to enjoy playing the game.

As it stands for numbers, we have roughly 12 regular players who have played with each other for over a year. Today we managed to pull 2 squads of 12 each for operations. We want to increase this number while still retaining that sense of identity that comes from people who have played games with each other for a long time.

Our goal is to assemble a platoon of players who enjoy playing Planetside 2 together, and have them regularly meet for operation times on our teamspeak 3 and go stomp the enemy faction until they switch continents.

There are a few ways we intend to achieve this goal:

    1. Minimum commitment: All we ask is that you attend one of our tutorial sessions so you understand how we play the game, and are on the teamspeak in the correct location during ops. Because we want to get to know you, you will also need a working headset and microphone. Joining our outfit is unnecessary.

    2. A focus on improvement: Experience has taught us that FPS players become good because they understand how the game works and practice, rather than being ‘naturally talented’. If you can’t aim, chances are it’s because your framerate sucks, or your mouse sensitivity is out of whack.

    3. Persistent squads: We use the same squad leader with the same players in each squad for every operation. We feel this increases efficiency, and promotes teamwork which allows players to enjoy their experience more.

    4. Selective recruitment: We are looking for players who are able to handle high pressure situations. Synergy is important, and attitudes need to be checked in at the door. We don’t care about your 5.0 k/d if you are going to wander away and rocket pod infantry during ops.

    5. A Blaring Red camo: Because nothing says TR like a bright red camo. (Loyal hearts if you can get it).

Tonight went well with [LUXE] and we look forward to playing with them again. If any TR outfits wish to roll with us in our teamspeak during operations, feel free to inquire.
