Title says all. I waited for download and then pressed "Play", where it ultimately wasted my time. Help.?
Same issue here. I verified my game files and it's running under admin and all that snaz. I'm certain the update is the cause.
Client was working yesterday, when the first patch came out. However, today's patch causes crashing on start-up. Cannot even get to the first loading screen before I get an error.
I have the same thing, "Planetside2.exe has encountered an error and must close." has been going on ever since the new patch was implemented was working fine at 6 p.m. central. And my Friend "Hellhound" cant even login to main screen. P.S. I validated twice and I ran a Defrag, thinking it was my pc.
Before the update everything was fine. I was playing, certing my 100k certs to test out how the NC run, when I was kicked and couldn't get back in. I am guessing that is when the server went down for the update. After the patch, however, like Biosnipe above me, I keep getting "Planetside2.exe has encountered an error and must close." when I click Play. Even as I am typing this, I clicked it and waited, 3 secs later I can say it is still doing it, even tho I have validated my files 4 times, the last two times while running as admin too. Same here, and there is a server clash between ceres and cobalt I was really looking forward to on Saturday aswell. Very disappointing since I cant play live either due to the EU server ping issue.
Still no play for me. no crash.. just press play.. spinny thing comes up says its launching, PS2 just never launches. just goes back to launcher with the PLAY button MOCKING ME!
I to have expiereinced this PLAY button mocking me. I can't get on either, and really really wish to.... for the libs.......SoE your our only hope.....
I was looking forward to seeing if the liberators were smoothed out more, yet I cannot play. Its worked fine for me yesterday. I'm pretty sure all these are the same issue:
