OP's issue is, they are a dedicated tanker. They now have time on the new Esamir...where the prowler cant go everywhere it used to. So they are forced into Infantry combat. Their inexperience with infantry combat is why the HA seems op, nothing else.

I use Nanoweave to give me that slightly extra leverage to come out on top if i'm surprised by an opponent. That said if theres several enemies, nothing really helps except other friendlies.

NW5 resist shield med kits wut wut

Use a shotgun when shooting in the back, problem solved.

No, HAs are supposed to be the main infantry class. Its the "tank" of this game. You can still kill most HA players if you get the drop on them or if they already used their shield, which happens pretty often with this many people.

Aim for the head. The only way to get your TTK short enough to drop him before he turns and kills you is to make sure the first few shots are head shots. If you truly have the drop on him, it shouldn't be too difficult. All those Infils out there that insta-kill you before you can do anything about it? Head shots.

It's as simple as being forced to choose between a shield and a rocket launcher.

Resist shield is kind of better than the other two right now... and it looks a lot cooler for Vanu at least.

I have to disagree. I have Resist certed all the way and only have 3 in Adren right now but I think Adren is already better for me personally.

Like the majority in this thread, I don't see this as a problem. With the addition of resources and timers to the MAX, the HA became the alpha combat unit. It combines durability and versatility but has, outside of conc 'nades, zero utility. They're combat monsters but not invincible. If you can get the drop on one in CQ and be mobile enough to cause problems for their ADS (most LMGs are trash at hipfire) then you should be fine. Long range, an AR, BR, SASR or SA-Scout could out-play one as well.

Right now, you're mad at bears for being bears. You can beat them but not at their own game. Gotta do it with meta, not twitch.

From what I understand, the problem is: the only front line infantry class out-survives the support and flanking classes.

    What?

I disagree with the OP on this one. My explanation? Here is a quick short list of the classes "niche". Mind you they can do other things but they excel at these things.

Medic-heals,revives, medium range rifleman and support, med grenades, occasional c4, having a good medic is vital to keeping a battle going.
Engineer- repairs, ammo, explosives, turrets, vehicle busting short range, short range smg cqc support, etc, not as important as medic as people usually die before needing ammo unless they are skilled.
Infiltrator- hacking, sneaking, disruption, long range spotting and support, scouting, needed to hack terms and recon darts mostly but frail.
Light Assault- disruption, bomb dropping, flanking, mobility, cqc loadout like engineer but more "zig zaggy", this is not a support role as much as just a supplement attacker/defender.
Heavy assault- killing things, shields and health, minor tank (max is major tank), rockets, his whole job consists of killing things with no other "responsibilities".

I left out the max as it is kind of obvious what it is for.

Knowing all that, a basic battle SHOULD consist of ally heavies fighting enemy heavies, support roles hanging back and doing their JOB which is ammo and heals/revives, and specialist classes flanking or hacking. I think too many people forget that unless they are a heavy ( or maybe a light assault) they have other jobs they should be doing. Medics, engineers, and infiltrators main focus should not be on shooting but on their support tools. For those support classes, your gun is there for self defense when you find yourself in trouble, not to go hunting down enemies, that is a different class's job. If you do decide to not hang back and perform your role, you will be able too but dont be surprised if you run into a similar skilled heavy who kills you. The main reason being, his class is made to battle, yours was made to hang back and support with heals or ammo and whatnot. It isn't an "easy button" nor is it cheap, they are playing their class role, you should be playing yours. Any further calling of , "they have no skill, they are cheap, etc" I would have to say is just arrogant, ignorant, and due to people playing the wrong class for what they are doing. You wanna kill stuff? Play a heavy. Wanna support? Play something else. The only time you wouldn't play heavy when you chose to would be because your squad leader asked for it, thats it. That has nothing to do with the class as much as sometimes you just gotta do what is best for the team.

Final note: I know on the infantry descriptions I was vague and that it isn't impossible to kill enemies as a support class. I was just trying to simplify it, so don't tear me a new one over it.

    So...yeah

HA is fine. It has its own role just like every other class in the game.
