    My friend send me a laptop with core I7 740qm with the AMD 5870m , can anyone tell me the performance of I7 740qm in planetside 2?

    So you have a mid-upper tier processor and a mid range GPU on a lappy :eek:

    The game sucks on multi core optimization. Best guess is medium.
    Install it and see what works for you. If it blows, you can always uninstall.

    The clock rate on that i7 might hold you back a bit when it comes to Planetside, but I would anticipate it being ok-ish. If you have a bit more RAM (8 GB+) that seems to help as well.

    As said above, the game can be played 100% free. It can't hurt to download and try it.

    thanks , because i saw an promotion for the i7 920xm that i can upgrade for my laptop , i'd like to know is it worth for the upgrade or the game can be run fine on the 740qm :D
